Just FYI, the End-of-Course (EOC) exam is mid April. All Algebra 1/B students with a semester grade of 75% and below in Algebra 1/B are going to be REQUIRED to attend tutoring Mon., Tues., & Thurs. nights, 4:05 -5 PM in rooms 109-111. We math teachers will tell each individual student, but a general reminder 6th 7th & 8th period would be great. ("Don't forget Algebra tutoring tonight if you've been assigned to it." Please let me know if this would be an imposition. Thanks, Tom
The policy letter is below and also attached.
Mandatory Algebra 1/B Tutoring – 2nd Semester
Algebra 1/B tutoring will continue through the 2nd semester of school. Beginning Monday, January 11, 2010, this tutoring will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 pm,
Initially, all students having a final 1st semester grade of 75 or below in Algebra I or Algebra B will be required to attend this tutoring 3 days a week. Attendance is not optional, and failure to attend mandatory tutoring sessions will result in disciplinary action.
If the Algebra 1/B grade is brought up to an acceptable level, students may no longer be required to attend all three of these tutoring days, depending on the specific circumstances such as the degree of improvement.
This tutoring is open to all high school students, and anyone desiring additional assistance in Algebra 1/B/A is invited to attend. Priority must be given to current Algebra 1/B students if space becomes an issue.
Geometry tutoring will continue on Thursday from 4:00-5:00 pm.
