APCS Spring Concert

To:     Parents

From:     Mr. Seaton

Topic:    Spring Concert

Hello all! It`s that time again during the semester to crank up that music and enjoy a good concert. For the spring concert this year, I will be having two nights of performances. Those two night of performances will take place on the 15th and 16th of April. Both performances will take place at 6:30 pm at the Summit Church. This is the same facility we have used in the past.

The concert on the 15th will involve grades kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade. The theme for this night of music will be "Americana". Students will be allowed to wear red, white, and blue colors! Boys must wear a button up shirt and slacks. Jeans will not be allowed. Girls may wear dresses. The dresses must go below the knees. Keep in mind this is a formal performance. Students that do not desire to wear either of the above choices will be allowed and expected to wear the APCS uniform.

The concert that will take place on the 16th will involve grades 3rd through 6th. The theme for this concert is "Music Express". It involves lively up-beat pop style music featuring elements the students covered during this year! The dress code for this event will involve formal wear. The colors that will be allowed are blue, white, and gray. The boys must wear a button up shirt, tie, and slacks. Jeans will not be allowed. Girls will be allowed to wear dresses that go below the knee. Students that do not desire to wear either of the above choices will be allowed and expected to wear the APCS uniform.

Be sure to have your child at Summit church 20 minutes before the performance. We start the performance of both concerts on time at 6:30 pm!

It has been a fun year in music and I look forward to a next year! If your child is in the 6th grade look forward to another letter about beginning band in the near future! Till then, see you at the performance.

Musically yours,
