The Arkansas Department of Health has informed us that all children entering the 7th grade next year will need an additional dose of the DTaP immunization before they start school. This immunization is for the diseases Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (whooping cough)
The Health Department will be at our campus Monday May 10 from 9 am until noon to administer the vaccine to all 6th graders. We will be sending out consents the first week of April to all 6th grade students. These must be signed and returned with the appropriate information filled out, before May 10th.
If you have any questions you may contact our school nurse Camille Nesler at 501-851-3333. Any students who do not receive the vaccine must furnish the school with a waiver from the health department, or proof of receiving the vaccine at a different location.
