Hello!
Ok everyone this Thursday and next we are going a full beginning band meeting! This Thursday will take place in the Café and next will take place in the band room (Mrs. Pool`s room). At this meeting we are going to have a presentation and then discuss two other topics. The presentation will be given by representatives from Center Stage music company. They will give a presentation of the different instruments they offer. They will also discuss options they have in order to afford those instruments. Even you if you have your child's instrument for next year I encourage you come out still.
We will also discuss more about forming the band boosters. I have had some parents express interest in helping out form it. I also would like to establish some kinda of a "Phone Tree" network that can be used to keep everyone better informed of events and activities.
Lastly, please bring $20.00 to this meeting so the red and blue books that will be used next year can be purchased for your child. Your child will be given these books at the beginning of the school year.
Thank you for all the support you have given so far, and all the interest in helping. It is going to take all of us to make the band program grow and become more successful each year. I look forward to seeing all of you soon!
