Makeup Days

Dear Parents,


As you know we have missed three days of school this year due to inclement weather and an electrical outage. The plan to make the days up are as follows:

1. February 21st – President’s Day – This will be a student contact day.
2. May 5th – Formally a staff development day - This will be a student contact day.
3. June 3rd – This day was in the original calendar. We had 179 days scheduled for the year. We are only required to have 178 student contact days.

By making the above changes to our calendar, June 3rd will continue to be our last day. This is important for a couple of reasons. We want to have as many student contact days as possible prior to the state testing windows, and we need to be out of school as soon as possible in order to complete the renovation and construction we have scheduled for the summer.
