APCS Music Society Newsletter

We had our first official meeting last Monday the 7th of February. Much was accomplished! We will meet on the last Monday of every month for the rest of the school year. Our new elected officers will meet on the Thursday before that to go over what should be discussed on that Monday. Our new officers are as follows: Melanie Small-President; Karen Rutherford-Treasurer; Jana Owens-Secretary; Seth Seaton-Warden; Heather Kirby-Public Relations Representative.


There were several topics of discussion. Many of which will be discussed at the next meeting. We discussed in no particular order US Pizza night to raise money for the band, Letterman Jackets, Magic Springs Trip, future trip next year to Panama City, 4th of July parade, Concerts at Oasis, beef jerky sales, Ensemble at CAC, T-shirt money for the band t’s.

We do have a few dates that can be marked in your calendars. US Pizza night is Thursday, the 24th of February. Fifteen percent of the proceeds will go to the band. If you haven’t paid for your child’s band t-shirt, it is due February 15th. The cost for the shirt is $15. Our spring concert is tentatively set for April 26th at the Oasis church. The Magic Spring’s trip is tentatively May 21st.

Our next meeting will be on Monday the 28th of February. Hopefully, we will have as great of a turn out for this next meeting as we did for the last one. We have a talented group of children, let’s show them our support!
