• Wednesday April 20th the Academics Plus PTO will host its first annual Bowl-a-thon. This event is our spring fundraiser pledge drive. We are raising money to help the school buy equipment for a playground and a new basketball area. Next week we will be kicking off the pledge drive and sending home pledge sheets. Anyone can sign up to bowl as an individual or as a team and try and win some great prizes. In addition to bowling at the event we will also have lots of vendors like Avon, Cookie Lee Jewelry, PartyLite, Premier Jewelry, and hopefully others. There will also be a bake sale and the Music Society will sell Smencils and Beef Jerky. We have lots of door prizes and a raffle as well. We hope everyone will come out and shop your support and have a great time Bowling.
• Sunday April 17th is the deadline for the school to retrieve some free playground equipment it has been awarded from the old UCPC Charter School. We are looking for volunteers that can help us go and remove the structure, fill in any holes and take it to the school. If you have access to any equipment to aid in this or would be willing to come help us dig it out please send an e-mail to apcspto@gmail.com. A picture of the unit is attached.
• Thursday evening, May 12th- "Academics Idol" talent show and spaghetti supper - grades K-12 (any talent welcome to compete). Try-out date to be announced soon for mid April. Come vote for your favorite star!
• Saturday May 14th the PTO will be hosting a garage sale. We will be using the parking lot in front of the F building and renting spaces to anyone who wants to bring their stuff to sell or you can donate items to the PTO to sell in their spaces. The PTO will be also be collecting uniforms to sell at their space. If you are interested in being on the planning committee, volunteering or want to rent a space please send an e-mail to apcspto@gmail.com
