This is the official notification of the annual meeting where 2 positions for our Board of Trustees will become available. This meeting will take place the 14th of May. If you are interested in running for election, please send your biography to Rob.McGill@academicsplus.org. All bios are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 11, 2012. On April 13, 2012 all bios will be posted on the school website.
To vote you must be a registered adult (18+) with APCS who is the responsible party for a presently enrolled student, an employee who works 32 hours or more, a trustee or an officer.
All voters must be registered by 12:00 a.m. April 16, 2012.
To register, you can complete the online application which is available on both the APCS website at www.academicsplus.org under "about us" then "trustee election" or via Edline under the "Links" Section.
To Vote via the new on-line voting process, each voter in the household will require an individual email address such as Gmail or yahoo.
If you prefer, registration and voting can still be completed manually. Registration forms are available for download on our sites or at school offices.
The public forum will be held April 30, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. 30 minutes prior to the spring concert. This will be the first time to meet the candidates and hear their ideas for our school. The voting booth will open after the public forum. Voting will continue online until the day before the Annual Meeting. On May 14th, the day of the Annual Meeting, Manual Voting will be available again, and possibly a few times during the voting period as the voting committee deems necessary.
If you are or plan on being a registered voter, ensure you follow through with your commitment and vote for your candidate of choice as a 40% quorum needs to be met to close the Annual Meeting Process.
